She has several specialized degrees and certifications, but she is proudest of her B.A. "Born Again" Christian degree. Charlaine is a Speaker, Teacher, Entrepreneur, and a Cancer Survivor.  Charlaine retired as educator and administrator from the Hamilton County Schools after thirty-three years of service. She recently completed the Cancer Care Leadership Training Program, "Our Journey of Hope" a biblically-based, non-denominational, training program developed by (CTCA) Cancer Treatment Centers of America to help churches support and minister to those who have received a cancer diagnosis.  This training prepared her to teach others how to minister to those impacted by cancer.

Charlaine has served on Educational and Health Initiative Boards. She served as President of the Lookout Counseling Association and President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She directed the Christian Education Ministry at Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church and assisted the pastor with Pre-Marital Counseling and coordinated the Couples Ministry for more than ten years. Her community service included volunteering to assist the chaplains with the Stephen Ministry Well-Spring Program at Memorial Hospital, serving on the Children of Abuse Review Team (CART) for the Tennessee State Department of Human Services and ministering to the homeless in the Chattanooga Community.

Charlaine is a Christian Therapist with more than twenty-seven years of experience. She is the founder of the Preventive Christ-Centered Options (PCO) Counseling Service and has helped adolescents, individuals, couples, families, and business organizations make successful transitions. Her logo tagline, "Serving People God's Way," is named for her certificate program in Biblical Counseling from the American Association of Christian Counseling.
